Sub Engineer (Civil) – BS-14 (PPSC Advertisement No. 16/2025)

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has advertised for 25 Sub Engineer (Civil) jobs on a three-year contract in the Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department, WASA, and Lahore Development Authority (LDA). The successful candidates will support Lahore‘s water supply, sewerage and urban infrastructure schemes under the provincial service rules.

Role Summary

• Scale: BS-14
• Vacancies: 25 (Open Merit: 23, Minority Quota: 1, Special Person Quota: 1)
• Location: Lahore
• Tenure: 3-year contract

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age: 21–30 years (calculated as on 13 Oct 2025)
2. Gender: Male only
3. Domicile: Any district of the province of Punjab
4. Education:
• Three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil (after Matriculation)
Institution must be recognized by PEC or HEC

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil works at project sites
• Ensure quality control of construction materials and workmanship
• Maintain progress reports and site diaries
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and department staff
Enforce safety and compliance standards

Examination & Selection

1. Written Test
• Format: Single paper, 100 MCQs
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Syllabus: Entire DAE (Civil) curriculum (100 %)
2. Interview
• Shortlisted candidates will be called by PPSC
3. Medical Examination
• Conducted at a government-approved hospital
4. Final Merit List
• Based on combined written test and interview scores
